How much does a website really cost? It depends on your requirements. Our advertised website prices include a specific menu of features. Extra pages, complex coding, forms, copywriting, extensive photo galleries and
so on are available at reasonable extra cost. Click here for details. How do I get a domain name? Ovation
Creative can help you choose and register a domain for your website. By the way, here’s a helpful tip ... your domain
name doesn’t have to be the same as the name of your company! There are abbreviated versions and other variations to
consider, too. How do we get started? After we
discuss your website ideas and requirements, Ovation Creative will prepare a Website Project Contract for you to review and
approve. We request a 50% down payment at the time you sign your contract; the balance is due when we’re ready to publish
your site to the Internet. We also offer a convenient no-interest payment plan. Can you explain the website design process? The design process begins as soon as we receive your signed contract. After you approve the initial design and it’s
fine-tuned for a perfect fit, we will begin adding page content and coding. How long does it take to complete a website? Although turnaround time depends on the scope and complexity of your site design, most multi-page websites can be online
in as little as one week. We’ll be able to provide a more accurate estimate once we begin work on your site.
Should I include Flash on my website? This may surprise you, but we don’t recommend it! Please download our informative article for more details on this subject.
Do you guarantee your work? We’re
not happy with your site until you are! However, we do ask that you sign off on your general website design so that “tweaks”
do not go on indefinitely. If we can’t come up with something you like (it hasn’t happened yet!), you are free
to go to another web developer. We will only keep the agreed-upon down payment for time already spent. More details are provided
in our Web Design Contract.
Why do some websites seem so small on my screen? If some websites look like they take up very little room on your screen, that’s because there’s more than
one configuration possible for the resolution of your computer monitor. Many computers still come “out of the box”
with a monitor resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. Others have a higher resolution of 1024 x 768 or more. Websites designed for
an 800 x 600 monitor will appear much smaller if your screen is a higher resolution. You can test this out yourself by changing
the resolution on your own monitor.
Why do some people have problems finding my web address? Believe it or not, you need to make sure they’re actually typing your website address into the
“address bar” of a web browser ... not into a search engine like Google. The latter usually brings up hundreds
of sites which may only be a partial match for the words in your URL. If we haven’t answered your questions, please feel free to contact us for more information.
